But rather than read a couple of FAQ's or something, I'm going to ask the good folks at SRK. So tactics? I don't know how to combo into the Omega Destroyer yet. Is Omega more of a battery character? Who should I team him with? Basically, I use want to know if he's worth my time. He better be fun to play with. Posted by omni__dragon on 06:17:2001 02:12 AM: hm...tactics....i've played with him for a while and i find him really useful with his omega strike and refracting it back really fast... it has no recovery time and it hits the guy pretty fast.... his bread and butter combo is launch, lp, lk, mp, energy drain (horizontal) also i find him a great assist for magneto...use his throw assist and do hypergrav when he is about to throw the enemy into the air...so the hypergrav could grab and do and combo that's about it....hope that helped Posted by Mr. Bojangles on 06:17:2001 02:22 AM: I don't know much about Omega Red, but from what I've heard from friends who use him, he's more of a fun character to use, but can be near tournament calibur if played extremely well. OR is great with doom and SS. these three will chip your life away. cross up doom assist into VOD is fucking great to chip and DHC into doom, or SS. SS can punish assist with ramaiken, doom is your all purpose chipper and AAA, and OR is your combo/battery boy. for OR, his air combo is launcher, sj.lp,lk,lp,lp,lk,lp,upwards coil,energy drain, then throw straight up. you can extend this combo in the corner. his air dash is extremely useful, especially when halting his forward movement, and his infinite airdash doesn't hurt at all. use his j/sj lp for air2air, and his c.lp,c.lp,c.mk to tick, and if any of these hits connect, combo into standing fk,omega strike, then retract. OOR is great character. use him. hey,hey,OK!!!!!!! I've realized that draining for meter is absolutely useless. I understand there's a corner combo where you can like air dash after you throw the guy with the coil and do it again. Well nothing wrong with that, but don't keep on doing the same things over and over again. Also, mix in some rush down with that keep away game. I like screwing around with the LP in air fights, but when I jump-in I usually use HP. But it does have a little start-up time. I don't like that. So when I'm crossing them over or something quick I use the LP. With my Omega Red, and Dr.Doom on the same team, I like to do an air combo ending with a coil throw straight in the air, then land, quickly go to one side of the person, call Dr.Doom, and then dash to the other side of the screen and do something that chips. If done correctly they should take some good chip damage, and while they are blocking Dr.Doom, look how they are blocking, if they are blocking low, jump in, if they are blocking high just dashing with a C.LK. Or back to the corner- launcher,sj.lp,lp,lk,lp,coil throw,energy drain,throw opposite way you are facing, air dash lp,lp,coil throw,energy drain, throw straight up. after this, i also like to use doom assist, then go to other side for VOD. chips pretty good, excellent to DHC into doom, then SS, butt hats for my team. I also have a combo with domm assist, involves 3 coil throws, and does like 85-88 damage on cable. Someone asking about Omega Red! It's about time! Anyway, here's my favorite combo with the red wonder. Jump in with FP, land+dash to opponent, S. jp,jp, Sj.^, jp.,lk.,jp.,jp.,jp., QCF+FP=throw or drain life or super meter. If you have your back facing the corner, you can throw them to the wall, Air dash, jp.,lk.,jp.,QCF+any punch button, drain or throw! After the super ends you'll end up right next to OR with all in the time in the world to get aquanted. Dark Strider, I like that combo as well, but I always drain life, think draining meter is pretty worthless. Carpet, this is how you do the Omega Red infinite. Starts in the corner, and you have to get your opponent in the air. Hold UF, and slowly press. LP,MP,HP it should juggle the person but it's harder than it sounds.
